Worst Possible Start

The match hasn't even started and I'm already feeling sick. There are a bunch of "fans" who appear to be from Rathcoole (no big surprise there) at the top of Tate's Avenue partaking in such delightful ditties as "Fuck the pope and the IRA" and "The Billy Boys" outside the off-licence.
I'm not that surprised though. The England match was always going to attract the lowest of the low (see my earlier post on loyalty). The same useless inbred uber-prod wastes of skin that have for the most part been forced out of Windsor are back in force for tonight it would seem.
Fucking scum. I seriously hope none of them have tickets.

Beano
You are too hard on these brave sons of Ulster. As an atheist, you obviously don't care about the obvious effectiveness of their tactics in prosletysing. After hearing the Billy Boys, and going home to find that their homes have been attacked Roman Catholics are much more likely to see the error of their false doctrine. As they are in the midst of packing up to move to somewhere they hope will be safer, Kevin will inevitibly turn to Mary and say "put that case down a minute .... I've just been struck about the fallacy of the Real Presence ....." and Mary after soothing a frightened child will say "yeah and papal infallability - who's he kidding".
As I say, as an atheist you wouldn't care, but you underestimate just how much Kevin and Mary have warmed to the Unionist message or how reinforced it is if they were actually unionists to begin with. Can you look intoyour heart and be sure you have been as much of a credit to your tribe as these noble specimins?

Congratulations! That was a fantastic game. You deserved that win absolutely and completely. Putting the issues with England aside, I enjoyed that more than I've enjoyed a game for years.
Stop Press - Alan Green has just said he's "very proud". Odd, because for the last twenty minutes he's sounded like the angriest man on the planet. If it weren't for the accent I'd have thought he was English.
And Scotland won too!! What a lovely night...

PS - although I couldn't agree more with the initial post in this thread, and the one about loyalty more, I thought it could wait for another time. Bloody hell, two wins in one week.
And I've always liked that Lawrie Sanchez...

PPS - "uber-prod wastes of skin" is a fantastic line. Ever thought about standing for Stormont - or better still, Westminster -, beano?
By the way, how fantastic was David Healy's goal?

Plus Steve Davis's ball into Healy was of the highest quality.
I love the factt that the English can have no complaints at all. Alan Green loudly and often tried to say that Healy was offside, but he also complained about not having a TV monitor.
He wasn't offside, Alan. Rio was playing him on by doing an excellent impression of the Statue of Liberty. Excellent, beautifully timed, goal.
