Everything Ulster to be Reborn

Permalink 03:48:00 pm, Categories: Everything Ulster Site, 211 words

It's been an interesting experience for me, this election. Despite the decline of the Ulster Unionists, it hasn't been an unmitigated disaster. I've learned quite a lot about blogging and about the different candidates through the Westminster Focus posts, taking a look at each constituency in turn.

I always said that once the election was over I'd continue and try to maybe grow the site. In that spirit, I'll be relaunching it and all the Election 2005 posts (any post up to now) will be moved, so you'll need to update your bookmarks. There'll also be new RSS feeds for the new site.

[More:]

At the same time, Everything Ulster (and the other sites that share it's hosting) currently have a limit of 800MB a month and I've already passed 600MB this month! I'll be looking to upgrade/move the site and looking at options too but I'll try and keep the disruption to a minimum.

Forgive me if posting is a bit slow in the coming days, I've been working on a redesign to the site. Having said that, any feedback I've got from my loving girlfriend and a web designer in my work is that the current look is better so you'll have a choice which to use. Watch this space...

Please continue publishing, as EU is one of the sources I rely on for news and commentary from Northern Ireland. Thanks for taking the time to publish EU and for the kind comments you left at my site. With highest regards, Mondocognito

Thanks for the support, I'm currently looking at options. The current usage is between 35-50 MB a day and I've only 50MB left for this month. So the site will be closed down shortly. I'm currently looking at how I can overcome this, perhaps by moving hosts or upgrading my package. It hopefully won't be long though.

I'll be back...

Thanks, the new site's very nearly ready to launch. When everything's in place I'll put one final post here to let everyone know. Might be later tonight, if not tomorrow at some stage.

The site's nothing without it's visitors so thanks to all of you (even the DUP standard-barers!!)
