Republican Terrorists in Dishonesty Shocker
The IRA admitted to killing someone today. They killed a 14 year old schoolgirl, blamed the army and then proceeded to retaliate against their own heinous crime by killing a soldier. They apologised today, 30 years later - so I guess that's all OK then.
The girl in question was Kathleen Feeney from the Brandywell area of Londonderry. The IRA initially claimed the girl was shot by the army, which will come as a total shock to those of us who always believed the criminals and murderers in the IRA where trustworthy chaps who wouldn't lie to us.
The army maintained that although they came under attack in the Quarry Street area, no soldiers returned fire.
Follow up:
Remember; this was not a crime. "You can't be a republican and a criminal." The IRA Army Council, being the legitimate government of all-Ireland, cannot be guilty of crimes. Kathleen Feeney's family will have to be content in the knowledge that Kathleen was obviously a General in the Occupying British Army because we all know, thanks to Clare Short, that the IRA never targeted civilans.
Update
A few interesting points raised at A Tangled Web on this:
- No sign of an apology for the innocent soldier's family?
- How many other times have Sinn Fein/the IRA lied about 'who shot first'?
- How many times have IRA apologists touted this poor girl's name as another 'victim of the British military occupation of the 6 counties'?

Remember what one of the nortoratanos said at the bloody sunday slush fund, sorry, enquiry? who shot what?
Fair play to them, it's a pity it's one of the few though, most seem to lap up the 'resistance'. I presume its because its easy to get caught up in one romantic flawed ideology if you're already wrapped up in another.
Bit too late for the family..
then lie and blame the British Army....
SHAME ON THEM...
We 'big bad prods' were never so bad as to blindly support the paramilitaries so who the hell does this foreigner think she is?
new recruts lined up outside to join .look at the bombs in the markets and the motorways , look at the outrage and horror on the faces of the people (where have you seen that before?) their not saying "go resistance" their saying "dirty b*****ds" people like clare short are responsible for exaserbating this situation.their intrigues and revoltionary fantasies are, literally, killing people.
One thing- foreigner? I hope you're not suggesting that the English are 'foreigners' after all the Unionist rehtoric, especially since her dad was from Northern Ireland.
"We 'big bad prods' were never so bad as to blindly support the paramilitaries"
There's something that makes me uneasy about this statement... Perhaps the suggestion that nationalists blindly support the IRA? Or the fact that plenty of loyalists blindly support the terrorist godfathers running their estates. Selective memory is something we should leave to Sinn Fein.
foreigner in terms of someone unfamiliar with ground leval reality in Ulster and of someone of different cultural origin (in terms of her own life and value systems)- i was not trying to imply any anti English xenophobia (;>) however i would question the right of anyone to make political comment on Ulster without living there for a very long time..... (i support devoultoin after decommisioning)
whats the difference in numbers in pre cease fire elections in the electorate of S.F. and the P.U.P and the U.D.P. ?
i would of course never be so offensive to suggest that the I.R.A. enjoy blanket support, however i would say that the minority that do are a little more than just alunitic fringe

After Paisley was removed from a rally by the police:
After accusing some of the police officers of mistreating him, Reverend Paisley shouted: "Don't come crying to me if your homes are attacked. You will reap what you sow".
To me that sounds like justification for, if not encitement of, violence against the forces of law and order.
If so, I hadn't realised - the thought just occurred to me and it's quite disturbing!
Robert McCartney's fiancée Bridgeen Hagans and the couple's children had their home attacked at 2:10 AM on Saturday. Rocks and glass bottles were thrown at the doors and windows, and one window was broken during the disturbance.
