Did ya miss me?!
There's so much I've wanted to post about over the weekend:
- The French saying 'non' to the EU Constitution
- The Gardai shooting 2 Post Office robbers (blogged belatedly this morning)
- The next Celtic League (and what year it will be in)
- ID Cards costing 3 times the original estimate (£300 per person!!)
- The (IRA?) £200k robbery at Boots in Belfast
and so much more that I haven't been able to talk about. I know you all missed me! I'm only posting now because I'm back to work today and have internet access there. I won't have it at home for at least a fortnight - I'll go nuts!!
Follow up:
Alas, NTL came to move my broadband connection to my new house (after assuring me there would be no problem getting service) and the engineers told me that the block hadn't been cabled and they couldn't install it. 4 days and umpteen phonecalls later and the service should be cancelled, but who knows with ntl? I'm still half-expecting a bill given all I've read over at ntl hell
It gets worse though. BT don't seem much better, they can't even send an engineer out to reactivate the phone line until 13th June and I can't tell if I can even get broadband until they do that! More power to you, eh! By that stage I'm tied in for at least 3 months of expensive phone charges.
Luckily the Digital Terrestrial reception in the house is pretty good and now that E4 is on Freeview I'm only missing Sky One and UK Gold. I'll struggle on though.
