EU Quote of the Day 14/07/05
"Gerry Adams talked this morning about good manners and neighbourliness, and said he defended our right to parade. Those who, in the name of a united Ireland of equals, plant bombs and stop a small group of elderly men from driving to church to lay a wreath have no manners, and want only to terrorise their neighbours.
Thankfully, their actions didn't ruin a fantastic day of celebration enjoyed by tens of thousands of people right across Northern Ireland."
Orange Order Grand Master Robert Salters
Says it all really. Personally I think it was quite restrained given that he was referring to a bomb planted in Moira by republicans with the intention of murdering hundreds of innocent men and women.

this is unbeleivable, no national press for an event of this magnatude. on the news over the weekend we had terrorism experts saying (and i quote) "the I.R.A. where never like this" - meanwhile the I.R.A.were doing exactly the same thing .Thank goodness no one was hurt. How can they get away with these things , are the lives of the people of Northern Ireland so worthless? or rather ,are the Orange men held in such contempt that the I.R.A. can blow them up and no one cares?
Plus look at Ken Livingstons reactions of condemnation, isnt this the guy who only a few months ago gave a platform to an Islamic cleric who publicly promoted suicide bombings and wife beating ? When he observed the 2 minutes silence today i hope he spared a thought for all the innocents murdered by his mates Gerry and Martain - i doubt this great statesman would accept the comparison
