Why?
Ulster seems to be brimming with scumbags devoid of any morals whatsoever. Its depressing to think that few people will be overly surprised by the callous attacks in Lurgan last night where police were pelted with 30 petrol bombs while the Army tried to defuse what they thought was a bomb. A BBC TV crew also had petrol bombs thrown at them earlier.
There's a simple solution to this one. If the community aren't prepared to help the police prosecute the culprits - next time there's a bomb alert in the Cornakinnegar Road area of Lurgan, stay away and let it explode.
But that's not what I want to draw your attention to. Oh no, there was something else that went on last night that could be regarded as even more evil.
Even I'm shocked that someone could callously stab a 61 year old pensioner in the chest as he was out walking his dog. What possible reason could there be for that?
It's a depressing indicator of just how sick our country is that these subhuman stains on society don't even think twice about carrying out an attack as abhorrent as this.

Within the Catholic community there is undoubtedly a hard line of Republicans who are actively trying to create as much tension as possible , pre-planed, text book Republican terror attacks can mean nothing else ,given that this (relatively) large numbers of hoods can be called upon is worrying in regards to the level of recruitment these more stimulating groups can aim for.
Is this a situation where security should be lowered ? Would you risk it? ,
because some nut from South Africa who hates your culture will do it to you weather you want him to or not , and be called a hero and a man of peace,which will not do so much to stop the bombs going off as the heroes whos memory he's pissing on did.
an unelected ruler is a humiliation and it is despoilment.
and its you and i , not those who selected him , who will continue to suffer for it.
sorry i dont get you ..i only ever really read a bit of atw (some of the right wing 'enviroment' stuff and BadMuslims.com scare me a bit....)
still sorry if it all seems a little emotional but it p!sses me off it really does...
the fact that we can accept this dingus.... im not saying the sec. should be billy blue or something,but there has to be a sensible person out there, Tony made this choice banking, as he always does, on the politcal stagnation of a the British public, he could depend on no significant rebutle.
Devoid seemed like the word to use. I like the term 'moral bankruptcy' but I think, like the term scumbag, I overuse it.
But how else would you encapsulate the utter disgust held towards someone who approaches a pensioner out walking his dog, asks him for a cigarette (or a light, I forget) and then stabs him in the chest? The poor guy was 61 for christ's sake!
just shows you how keen i am :}
