Times They are A-Becoming-Quite-Different
It would be hard not to notice that posting at EU have tailed off somewhat in the recent couple of months. I went on holiday for three weeks at the end of July/start of August and went straight into a new job on my return so sadly time has been a scarce commodity. Add to this the fact that I've had no motivation whatsoever to write and it quickly becomes clear that something's going to have to change.
It's not like there haven't been things to talk about either.
Follow up:
I got a more than a little suspicious about the Giant's Causeway visitors centre project being awarded by two DUP ministers to a firm owned by a DUP member instead of opting publicly-funded proposal, to my disgust the IRFU persisted with their insistence that Belfast is "outside Ireland" in order to avoid playing God Save the Queen before their match at Ravenhill, an "ice-cream man" from west Belfast has given the ARA £900,000 made selling smuggled cigarettes and disturbing reports have been coming in that Northern Ireland fans (admittedly some of whom were misbehaving) were assaulted and robbed during an away trip in Riga - by the Latvian police (well apparently they were warned)! And let's not forget the ongoing row over legislation for Gaelic.
For some reason I just haven't felt like making the surprisng amount of time required to post here. I haven't decided what to do about this situation yet. I may make the site a bit more 'Sluggerish' by posting only snippets of stories that take my fancy rather than my traditional more long-winded blog entries, or whether I will simply post less-frequently on the more important (or overlooked) events that I'm really passionate about. I'm always open to the idea of new contributors, regular or otherwise.
The only thing I know is that I can't continue to post with the frequency I previously did and at the same time maintain the level of detail I have hitherto included in my opinions.
