Blog Design
This is a general plea for comments/tips/complaints on the layout of Everything Ulster and how you (yes, you!) use the site.
Follow up:
We recently had a talk in work on user interface design and one thing it reinforced in me is that developers (me) are often much too close to the problem their code is trying to solve to understand how an end-user will interact with their baby (this blog). So:
- Is the text too big/small/badly coloured?
- Are certain features/links not where you'd expect them to be?
- Have you seen something elsewhere you think all blogs/sites should have?
- What niggles you and what, if anything, do you like about the layout here?
- Would you rather see a whole post included in the "front page" or introductory snippets followed by "Read more »" links to let you see more posts at once?
- Does anyone use the NI blog search portal?
- Do you mainly read through an RSS reader like Google reader or on the site itself?
I can't promise I'll have the time to fix it immediately, but I promise to listen.
