The State of Political Blogs
Slugger O'Toole is running an award for political bloggers and the nominations (votes?) are flying in. Mick's done a brief recap of some of the early nominees (yes, I am there somehow ) which serves as a useful reminder of just what Northern Irish blogs are out there.
Follow up:
I'd also like to thank Mick for running these awards and, by proxy, affording me the opportunity (perhaps for the first time) to agree with Mark McGregor (in the comments section):
I’d not recommend either Balrog or ATW for their increasing drift into venom and anger over interesting or informed comment - both had potential both lost it IMHO.
Now I haven't read A Tangled Web in a long time, but his comments are certainly spot on for Balrog, which I do keep an occasional check on. One poster in particular regularly engages more in thinly-veiled sectarian abuse than engaging discussion.
Anyway, if there are any blogs not already present let Slugger know; and if there are any others you can think of that have slipped, I'd be interested to hear your thoughts.
